Beaches in Vieques are among the cleanest and least crowded in the Caribbean.  We are, in fact, a favorite destination of "eco-tourists".  Because it is still largely undiscovered, Vieques only has at most a few hundred tourists at any given time.  You will likely find a beach suited just for you, be it Media Luna, as smooth as a swimming pool, or Navio, the setting for the original movie "Lord of the Flies", with fun, crashing, waves, or many others.  Thanks to a short rainy season you will almost never hear the phrase "it rained the whole time."  The temperature on Vieques rarely falls below 68 and usually hovers around 85 during the day.
