Bananas offers good food, great service and a beautiful view.  It is among the several restaurants on the strip in Esperanza.  Probably (judging from the crowds) the most popular spot on the strip.  When other restaurants in Esperanza are nearly empty, Bananas business is booming.
     The food is simple but fresh and prepared with a tropical twist.  The service is always prompt and with a smile.
     The thing that keeps this spot busy when other good restaurants on the strip are not, is a combination of decor and an unobstructed view of the water and picturesque little Island just a few hundred yards offshore.  Other restaurants in this part of Vieques have some minor obstructions - Bananas doesn't.
     The interior is also a bit more elaborate and cheerful at Bananas.  A nicely done tropical mural adorns one wall, and a cute 'get a picture taken as a Banana' cutout painting at the entrance adds to the fun.
